The Importance of a Well Written Report

 

Reports are one of the main ways in which ideas and findings are circulated around the office. They often contain very important information but can sometimes be overlooked, particularly if they are poorly written. Great ideas imbedded in badly organised, over-wordy reports may never see the light of day. In order to make a report stand out and get a message across, one simply needs to learn the correct way to write these documents.

You will thus learn how to overcome two of the main weaknesses of many reports, those of being too verbose or using words and phrases not suitable for the context. A report is often the first impression a colleague or outside client will have of you so it is important to show your proficiency and can-do attitude.
